This 23th of April we’ll celebrate Sant Jordi or World Book Day. For that reason and to push this habit so healthy, Bisoca&Botey shows you 5 lamps for read and work.
1. Caravaggio Read by Light Years
It’s a design by Cecile Manz for the Light Years company. The classic-style display is installed on a tube that allows the light beam to be directed, has a rotation of 260º on its own axis.
Caravaggio Read features a Touch dimmer ignition system that allows you to adjust the light intensity (3 intensities).
Its base is designed to adapt to slightly reduced spaces such as shelves or window sills.
Available in four colours: white, grey, black and opal glass.
This design is the work of Mads Sætter-lassen after winning the Design students contest of 2015. This lamp allows you to keep the space tidy and to have handy objects during the study or reading.
The base of this lamp is a pencil holder, a multifunctional design perfect for reducing objects on the work table without losing storage space.
The head is adjustable to be able to steer the beam where necessary. It is available in matte finishes such as dark grey, off- white, green and Marsala.
The most modern version of the desktops lamp arrives. A contemporary, linear design made of copper and stainless steel.
The Original English brand BTC provides a modern touch to any desktop. Its copper or brass head provides a special light, not only for its light source, but for the flashes of the lights when reflected on the head.
Antonio Citterio is the father of the Kelvin Edge desktop, a luminaire with Dimmer LED technology perfect to read and adapt to both the environment and the reader’s mood.
It has a sensor in the head that allows 3 light temperature settings, goes from 2700k to 3200K.
Kelvin Edge is also available with clip, desk stand and wall sconce.
Gira synthesizes, according to Santa & Cole, the fundamental elements of a lamp. This traditional flexo articulates different elements to give it the ability to move. The rotation of the arm and the orientation of the screen allows to create spaces for working, reading or writing.
It was designed in 1978 by Ferrer, Massana and Tremoleda in Barcelona and had an international recognition winning several design awards. Santa & Cole recovers this classic with a new edition with a brass and anodized aluminium screen.
