Biosca & Botey celebrates the 50th anniversary of TMC the lamp design by Miguel Mila
The lamp TMC Miguel Mila, designed in 1961 and published since 2011 by Santa & Cole, yesterday celebrated its 50th anniversary in space Biosca & Botey in Barcelona. Designer was accompanied by some of the most representative of Spanish design, entrepreneurs, architects, interior designers, publicists and friends who have been part of his life and wanted to pay tribute to one of the most representative of Spanish design.
Created by Spanish designer only awarded the Compasso d’Oro for the career, was born TMC lamp lamp variation TN, Aunt Nuria, and was conducted by the company section (drudgery) Mila founded to produce their own designs.
Throughout its history, the lamp TMC (Section Mobile Chrome) has been edited by Polinax, BD, and since 2011, Santa & Cole whose editorial and technical team has dedicated time and effort with Mila, to expose an important part to recover the original design details, such as the circularity of the screen, and to incorporate final improvements in the characteristic up-down system of the same.
To share this anniversary with the public, in the window of Biosca & Botey be discussed in the coming weeks this lamp which retains all its modernity, utility and status as art object.
Limited Edition 1 of 50 TMC
To commemorate the first 50 years, has made a limited edition of 50 numbered TMC, which can only be acquired Biosca & Botey-in which is recorded the text “Emocionar con lo simple”.
