BioscaBotey becomes Lladró‘s official distributor. With the slogan “Lladró is also light,” Biosca offers the opportunity to acquire the lamps of this company who focuses on the manufacturing of porcelain and hand crafted products.
“If there is a warm glow, a clear and suggestive light, natural-looking, it is the light that filters through the porcelain.” This is how Lladró describes the need for lamps that follow the philosophy of the company and provide optimal and decorative lighting.
After more than 60 years working on the art of sculpture, the company began to develop lamps during the 50s, although its golden time did not come until the 2000s when designer Bodo Sperlein with its Re-Cyclos project, prompted the development of lamps and thus Lladró was consolidated in this market. Its lights are filled with shades and each one hides a story behind its design.
Lladro goal is to bring back the sensations that natural light has, which is why his collections revolve around an axis of narrative that is drawn on each of the component parts.
“Our products have usually been given as presents to decorate someone’s home, to be part of the many objects that are part of our life and which remind us of moments we lived or simply because we like to look at them”; this is how Lladró describes his philosophy and the base of his work.
All lamps are hand made at the headquarters of the brand in Valencia. The richness of their detail is due is the result of the artisan’s creation and joining of the different pieces, as well as its manufacturing to obtain 4,000 different shades.
The light of the lamps filter through the porcelain, whose versatility and features enable the product to distribute and
