Grupo Faro and Biosca&Botey have been in charge of lighting the new Multiópticas center of Gran Canaria in a comprehensive way.
The project has been the work of Cubica ES+UDIO. They tell us that, far from designing a cold and technical store, they have tried to create a space with a “household atmosphere, where the experience of the purchase or the mere fact of accessing the store is like being at home”.
To this end, they have trusted on the Grupo Faro’s Projects Team, on which they commented: “The light proposal of the intervention was designed to help achieve that household atmosphere we were looking for. The wide range of products offered by Biosca&Botey, in addition to the technical support to develop the lighting proposal, were decisive for the final result, since the technical and the decorative lighting equipment matched perfectly”.
Two pendant lamps, COSMO and WIREFLOW by Vibia, have been chosen. The first, consisting of four round pendants in green, gray and black tones, is located in front of the review booths providing light and a modern style to the waiting room. The second, however, has taken a more prominent role in the store by lighting the central part intended to serve customers. Wireflow is a design lamp composed of a black electric wire and four LED lamps, a reinterpretation of the mythical chandelier.
Both have been chosen in tune with the used materials like wood, marble and stone, with the aim of creating a warm space that embraces the visitor and gives it a good view of the displayed product.
In the wide areas and in need of general light the recessed lamp LINE by Onok was used, placed in tune with the gable roof, one of the store’s design features, used to avoid the oppressing feeling of being in a completely interior space.
Faro Barcelona’s CILINDER spotlights directly light the glasses and other displays in the whole store, spaces divided according to the type of product, but with a same visual language.
The result is a comfortable, pleasant and with a modern look store thanks to the materials and lamps that make the customer feel like at home.
