The Danish Astep brand surrenders to Gino Sarfatti’s design with the 548 lamp, a tabletop luminaire “that is a study in balance and light reflection“.
The Italian created this piece in 1951 by playing with the double effect of light: it projects both reflected and diffused light thanks to the adjustable spotlamp that is directed upwards. In this new version the incandescent bulb has been replaced by an LED source and an optical switch has been added.
It is a modern design whose protagonist is the large methacrylate diffuser that can be found in orange, blue or grey, and which can be a perfect option for work spaces thanks to the indirect light it projects.
