Gubi is a Danish company dedicated to creating luxury items for everyday life. They combine the past and the present to create products that stimulate the senses and at the same time are practical.
Today we bring you 5 of its luminaires to meet a little more Gubi.
1. Multi-Lite pendant
This pendant belongs to the golden era of Danish design. Thanks to its mobile screens it allows custom installations, as well as the focus and direction of the light beam (up and/or down, asymmetric or symmetrical).
This pendant was designed by Louis Weisdorf in 1972. Multi-Lite shows the designer’s passion for customization. Two cylindrical forms form the base and a metal ring covers them and anchors, allowing to create a quarter of sphere with each one.
2.1965
This pendant is designed by Paavo Tynell. It consists of a matte metallized screen with a set of perforations that provide a small translucency effect, in an opaque screen. It is manufactured in different finishes, such as black, white, Bordeaux, green or shiny brass. The lower part has an opal diffuser that helps to sift the light for a more homogeneous lighting cast.
Its lighting source is a 40w E27 bulb, compatible with LED bulbs.
3. Ronde
Original pendant made of aluminium and with a particular finish at the top. It is available in two sizes of 20 and 40 cm in diameter and five colors (dark grey, light grey, black, red and white).
4. Semi pendant
Pendant lamp built with two quarter circle together, one after the other. The enameled metal Arch creates a diffused cone-shaped light, perfect for the dining table or kitchen surface.
Semi Pendant was designed in 1968 fruit of the association between Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup. They wanted to create a lamp with clear and clean lines, with geometric shape and which was later awarded by the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.
Light Source: E27 60w Bulb
5. Gravity
This collection is the work of Space Copenhagen and consists of a lounge and a table.
the body with the screen transmits fragility and at the same time resistance. The body is consistent and serves as an anchor for the screen to elevate and show the fragility of light through the fabric.
Gravity creates a special atmosphere and adapts to the personalities of each one as it can combine different materials and finishes to fit the space and taste of each one.
3 different types of marble and with dimmer button to regulate light.
